Get Lost! In the Cornfield Maze!

2008 Maze at Hawes Farms

Looking for a new type of excitement? Bring your friends and family to our 10 acre corn maze and GET LOST together!!! It really is fun and challenging to conquer our maze — to actually find your way through it successfully. 10 acres does not sound very big, but I promise, it is big when you are in the middle of our corn field, and you are faced with endless right/left turn choices. The corn is 10-12 feet high, and you are lost! Don't be scared off though, we have corn cops (staff in yellow shirts) who will make even the most feared feel 'OK' and offer help on finding your way out of the field.

This years design is a still a secret. As soon as we can, we'll let you know what this year's exciting design will be.

There are approximately 3 miles of trails to get lost in, so wear comfortable shoes and, if it is dark, bring a flashlight or purchase one at our general store. During late October, also bring a jacket as the nights get cooler — especially when the cool fog comes in from the nearby Sacramento River.

The maze is split into 2 sections, so if one is tired or wants to "quit" early, you can. Many decide to get a cool refreshment, rest for a few minutes, then continue on with the challenge to conquer the second half of the maze.

The maze generally takes 1 - 2 hours.

This year we have a kiddie maze. This maze is only 1 acre and is for kids ages 0-10 accompanied by an adult. Our kiddie corn maze is in the design of a John Deere Tractor. Don’t forget to check out the corny conundrums and as well as a passport to help navigate you.

Daytime is the best time for families or first time maze goers to experience the corn maze. As your confidence builds, be sure to try the maze at night. It is definitely more scary, and is easier to loose your sense of direction at night, but definitely fun for couples and teens.
